SA Power Networks and Evenergi have today signed an agreement to work together to help drive EV adoption in South Australia. SA Power Networks joins the South Australian Government and ARENA as partners in Evenergi’s Charge Together campaign, and will work with Evenergi to understand the impacts of EVs on the South Australian electricity distribution network. This study is particularly focused on the potential “charging hotspots” in an electrified and autonomous vehicle future, to ensure that the network is shaped to support this new paradigm.
Bryn Williams, Future Network Strategy Manager at SA Power Networks, said
“At SA Power Networks we think that electric vehicles will play a growing role in South Australia’s transition to a low-carbon economy. We’re pleased to work with Evenergi in this exciting initiative, which will support prospective EV buyers in South Australia and deliver valuable insights into how EVs will interact with the grid.”
